its an extension cord July 10, 2010 Ronald Sansone (Connecticut) if your car is too far from your power outlet and you want to use the battery tender this is a much better option than just running an AC power cord extension. 25' was just right for me. no problems. its a cord.
If you use the battery tender system, this is a great value May 22, 2010 HMMWV (santa clara, CA USA) I bought the 4 output battery tender to maintain my gate battery and my portable jumpstarting cell, as well as a parked car. To connect everything together, these were great, and a low price too. My only pet peeve, and that's all it is, is that the connector is NOT waterproof and when there is 12V across it and it rains, the plating comes off the electrodes.
In the future for long term connections, I'd wrap a piece of electrical tape around the junction to keep water out - that would prevent the deplating of the conductors inside from leakage current.
The nice part is that it has a cover on one end to keep water out when not in use, so you can keep it nearby your car, capped, and ready to use.
good thing to have April 27, 2010 Jason L. Pigg I mounted my battery tender in the middle of my garage and used this extension to reach the cars. With this you can mount the battery tender where ever you want. I like this
ADD A CABLE April 11, 2010 Firefighter (Florida) The quick extension cable permits the use of the battery tender without running long electrical cords. The tender itself remains plugged into a convenient outlet and the extension cable is run to the battery. Helps reduce the fear of fire from an overheated electrical cord.
It's a cable. February 19, 2010 R. Sansone 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Battery Tender quick disconnect cable does exactly what it promises to do - connects the battery tender unit to my cars battery, up to 25 additional feet away.
